What goes into your fence estimate?

A price per foot can be a starting point, but the complete scope determines the project price.

Material and height

Wood species, vinyl systems, metal profiles, composite components, and fence height affect material and installation costs. Ask which exact product and post system are included.

Gates and access

Walk gates, double gates, hardware, and support posts can have a meaningful effect on the total. Tell us the clear opening needed for equipment and everyday use.

Site and removal

Grade, ground conditions, tight access, existing fencing, and disposal change the amount of work. Photos help start the conversation, and a site assessment helps clarify it.

Travel and scheduling

For out-of-town projects, mobilization and travel are part of the scope. Material availability and site readiness also influence planning.

Compare proposals fairly

Compare the specified materials, total length, height, post method, gate openings, removal, exclusions, payment terms, and applicable warranties. The lowest number may describe a different scope.
